I have used Secunia PSI version 2.0 on Win XP, Win 7, Win 8.1 and Win 10. I have never had a problem where the screen would white out or the system would freeze. I used Secunia PSI for a few years but recently uninstalled it. The annoying thing about it was that if I dared to click on ANYTHING while it was running, the screen turned whiteish and the computer would freeze for about 10 minutes. (I know, so don’t click anything!) I’m running Windows 7 and very, very rarely have had any problems at all. So, good riddence Secunia, I’m NOT putting up with it any longer.
